Popkornditorei Knalle

As Germany's first popcorn shop, the popcorn at Popkornditorei Knalle is of course something quite special. Since September 2016, GMO-free French corn has been puffed up, sieved, then covered with a special caramel and finally baked in an oven in Friedrichshain. This is what makes the popcorn so crispy.

The extraordinary varieties are developed by founder and patissier Lucie, such as classic butter caramel, Tahiti vanilla, and the adventurous flavour Malabar pepper sea salt. In total, there are six varieties from sweet to savoury that are permanently on the menu as well as changing seasonal varieties. It is produced in small batches 100% by hand and filled in Berlin social institutions before it is put on sale in the shop in Friedrichshain.
