The kid-friendly Berlin tour
Body

For this tour, plan in two days.

Start day one at Potsdamer Platz by taking Europe’s fastest elevator to the Panoramapunkt on the 24th and 25th floors of the Kohlhoff Tower – the breathtaking view is a great introduction to Berlin. Then let the next generation live out their creative side at the nearby LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Berlin, Berlin’s most colourful indoor playground. Time for a break? Revive your energy levels while exploring the chocolate delights at Lindt Boutique in the Mall of Berlin, just a short walk away. Then take the city railway to Brandenburg Gate and rub shoulders with the celebrity wax figures gathered at Madame Tussauds.

A short subway ride (U-Bahn) and you’re at Berlin’s natural history museum, the Museum für Naturkunde, to meet “Tristan” – one of the world’s best preserved Tyrannosaurus Rex skeletons. If you prefer, you can take the bus towards Alexanderplatz and enjoy the AquaDom & SEA LIFE, thrilling to the marine life in the largest cylindrical saltwater aquarium tank in the world. Or just around the corner, older family members can test their nerves on a journey through Berlin’s horrible history at the Berlin Dungeon. And in Little BIG City Berlin you can explore Berlin’s epic events and daily life through impressive interactive 3D models. For a special interactive journey, take a tour through the colorful world of computer games at the Computerspielemuseum.

Book your highlight tour of the famous Berlin Olympic Stadion for the following afternoon – and view the 2006 World Cup venue and areas normally off-limits to the public, including the locker rooms and underground warm-up halls. After enjoying a relaxing break on the Ku’damm boulevard, slow the pace at the world-famous Zoo Berlin – and don’t miss feeding time for the big cats! On rainy days, check out the Aquarium Berlin, Germany’s leading public aquarium with sharks, a six-metre-long black-tailed python, and a tropical Crocodile Hall with crocs and large lizards!
