Visit the Trabi Museum directly at Checkpoint Charlie and find out all about the history of the famous two-stroke engine. Serial production of the "Rennpappe" started in VEB Automobilwerk Zwickau in 1958 and is the most famous car from East Germany.

See the different stages of development of the Volkswagen in the former GDR and its versatile usages as well as the camping Trabi and military vehicles. Also on display are rarities such as the Trabant P70 with its wooden chassis and the racing Trabi. Guests can watch the exciting short features which are shown in the movie theatre in the Trabi Museum.

If you like you can sit behind the wheel of a Trabi and go on a Trabi safari. You can choose different routes for this through East and West Berlin or along the former Berlin Wall.
