Nextbike bike sharing

Discover Berlin and Potsdam flexibly by bike! Shorter distances such as along the Eastside Gallery as well as longer distances such as between Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz are easily covered by bike. Simply use one of the rental bikes from nextbike powered by EDEKA, Berlin’s public bike rental system. In Berlin there are hundreds of rental stations with over 5,000 bikes available.

How it works: In order to be able to use one of the rental bikes, you first have to download the free Nextbike app from the AppStore or Google Play. Simply log in with your phone number and enter your pin, which you will receive by SMS when you register. You can enter the release code in the app menu item “Settings”. Activate your account by submitting a payment method (credit card, PayPal, or direct debit). Once you have reached your destination, simply park the bike at one of the official Nextbike stations. For flexible parking in a public street in the business area, you pay a fee of €0.50. At the end of the 30 free minutes you pay €1 for another 30 minutes and a max. of €12 for 24 hours.
