Discover the world of communication! Be welcomed by three charming robots! Admire the most famous stamp in the world, the Blue Mauritius!
Visitors are greeted in the impressive atrium by three charming robots. The communications gallery offers numerous interactive stations that invite you to explore the basics of communication in a fun and entertaining way, from smoke signals to traffic light signals through to the thread phone. The underground vault features particularly valuable items such as the Blue Mauritius, the most famous stamp in the world, and the first telephone by Philipp Reis.
The revolutions and milestones of communications and transport history are the main focus of the permanent exhibition on the first and second storeys. Several exhibition rooms feature numerous historical objects to explore. You can even send a telegraph at a Morse station and send a message in a pneumatic tube. “Das Kaffeehaus” is the museum café operated Dallmayr; a museum shop is also on offer.
