Komische Oper Berlin

The Komische Oper Berlin is one of the world’s most innovative opera houses. Its program of operas, operettas, musicals, and concerts is currently presented at the Schillertheater – and, under the motto “Out into the city, into the neighborhoods!”, at many other locations across the German capital, such as Berlin Tempelhof Airport, KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art, or the Konzerthaus Berlin.

Under the joint artistic leadership of Susanne Moser and Philip Bröking, and together with General Music Director James Gaffigan, the Komische Oper Berlin seeks out and develops contemporary and forward-looking forms of classical, modern, and future music theatre.

Its goal is to reach as many audience members as possible from all segments of society with what the opera house stands for: glamour and wit, lightness and depth, meaning and sensuality, as well as musical excellence and joy of performance.
