cie. toula limnaios / HALLE Tanzbühne Berlin

HALLE Tanzbühne Berlin is the venue of the internationally renowned cie. toula limnaios – one of the most successful contemporary dance ensembles in Germany. The company was founded in 1996 by choreographer Toula Limnaios and composer Ralf R. Ollertz.

At HALLE, you experience contemporary dance in an intimate setting with a close connection between stage and audience. The repertoire ranges from intense duets to large ensemble pieces and is defined by a clear choreographic signature, poetic visual worlds and original compositions. The company presents around 60 to 70 performances each year in Berlin and on tour.

The HALLE itself is a listed building dating back to 1870, which has been transformed into a modern production and performance space. In addition to its own productions, it regularly hosts guest performances and provides space for artistic exchange. A new choreographic center is currently being developed on the site, including rehearsal stages, artist residences and workspaces – a further step in establishing HALLE as an open and forward-looking hub for contemporary dance in Berlin.
