Easter 2019 in Berlin
Berlin is busy around Easter (19th -22nd April): beautiful spring days have locals and Berlin-guests alike out and about, visiting the many markets & celebrations. Centrally located, the Easter markets at Alexanderplatz and Breitscheidplatz invite for a stroll. For the sweet lovers among us, the Naschmarkt in Kreuzberg has all kinds of delicacies on offer.
Traditional Easter bonfires are a not-to-miss experience, even in the Capital. The park Britzer Garten is a great place for the whole family to marvel at the flames while listening to Rock’n’Roll live music (Saturday, 20.04., 6pm). Funfair excitement on the other hand awaits at the Berliner Frühlingsfest (Berlin Spring Fest) at Kurt-Schumacher-Damm, with rides, cotton candy and ghost train.
The culturally interested are bound to be pleasantly surprised by special opening hours of the many museums in Berlin. A list of all museums and memorials with special opening hours from Good Friday though to Easter Monday is available for download.
